CA – RRT Woodstock Team provide a Free Community BBQ for those less fortunate

RRT thrives on helping the community and giving back to help those in need. On Friday, September 27, 2019, RRT had the privilege to partner with Operation Sharing and serve a free hamburger meal to limited income families in Woodstock, Ontario. Operation Sharing is a non-profit organization established to provide for ones that are less fortunate with clothing, food, and shelter from the cold.

Rapid Relief Team has provided a number of these events to the Woodstock community over the past 3 years and they plan to continue. A free hamburger is always appreciated!
The RRT served over 100 hamburgers along with chips, and ice-cold soda and water! There’s nothing more rewarding than putting a smile on the faces of those we serve.
The Rapid Relief Team planned this event for the prior 2 weeks and arrived at the Operation Sharing site at 10:00 am to start preparing the meal. Everyone pitched in to get the tents set up and BBQs started! The meal was served, and everything was cleaned up by 2:00 pm!
The day was an absolute success and the RRT is busy planning for their next event to help our next community!
A little on who we are. Established in 2013, RRT believes in expressing the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC) scriptural principles of care and compassion. We express these values while we serve those in need with quality food and refreshment. Everywhere we go, our league of volunteers operates with community spirit, compassionate care and supportive hands.
